For borderless calendars we use a 10.5" x 8" image area. Slight printing quality improvements can be made from higher resolution photos. More than 240 dpi at finished size is overkill. Your photos will fit this image area proportionally and will not be cropped.
Photos will be sized from the center out to fit the frame, but will not be fixed. The quality of your calendar depends on the quality of the photos that you send. Small photos that need to be enlarged will show more grain. Any photos that are blurry will be blurrier when enlarged.
Copyrighted photos cannot be printed without written permission.
Please do not send any valuable photographs or your only copy of the photograph. We are not responsible for photographs that may be lost or damaged in transit or while in our possession.
Identify Your PhotographsLabel the back of the photographs with your name, order number, and month in which you would like the photograph to appear. You may use small mailing labels or write on the back with pencil.
If you use a ballpoint pen, slipsheet them. Without slipsheets, the ink may run onto the front of other pictures when stacked for mailing. Do not use post-it notes or similar because they work loose in shipping or production.
Your photographs will be returned with your calendar.
Digital ImagesWe can use your digital images to create your personalized calendar. You can send your digital photos direct over the internet via our file upload option, or on floppy discs or CD-ROM. Do not send us your original discs. Make and send us copies and send with your payment or credit card information after you have generated your order.
If you are using some prints and some digital files, set up an account and upload the digital images, place order for calendar online, and mail in the prints. Be sure to include your order number, month they are to be used in, and your name on the back of the photos.
All digital images regardless of source should be saved with JPEG image compression (.jpg file extension). The minimum image size from your source should be either 1024 pixels wide or 683 pixels high. All JPEG image files should be saved with the .JPG file extension in order to work with the upload interface.
When saving images from your digital camera choose
"best image" quality if available. Medium works OK too. Most 3.0
megapixel and above cameras produce good to excellent results. Images from
older first generation digital cameras may produce poor results.
The major brand name photo disc CDs prepared by your photo processor have
a standard resolution of 1024 x 1536 pixels, which work fine. If you have
an option, save or export from your image application with JPEG image compression
and "best image quality" if available. Otherwise, just upload directly
from the CD disc.
